Creating paid gig opportunities for grassroots artists in the UK, US, Germany, and Ireland, Pirate's partners for the 2024 Residency scheme include Parklife, Tramlines, El Dorado, and more.
- Following a successful launch in 2023, where over 30 of Pirate’s resident artists performed on festival stages, Pirate's talent development scheme, Residency, is back for 2024 and on the hunt for the sound of tomorrow.
- Pirate has announced 13 partners for Residency 2024, predominantly festivals, but also music venues and radio stations. Partners include Parklife, Tramlines, El Dorado, Forbidden Forest, and more.
- The programme will focus on offering residents year-round support through mentorship and studio time, as well as putting new artists on stage and on the radio.
With Residency's launch last year, we saw over 30 of our artists play at festivals, some for the first time. Our aim is to keep widening these paths for new talent to reach new audiences.

Honestly, getting to play Boomtown through the Pirate Residency still feels so surreal to me. It was literally a dream from start to finish. Seeing my name on the lineup with such heavy hitters and being able to play my favourite tunes to such a big crowd was insane. The backstage area was such a vibe too; it felt like a sort of base where you’d start and finish your days. I met so many incredible people there - DJs, film crews, promoters, the Pirate team, etc. The opportunities since then have been massive too.
